I'm Gene, 24 years old and a Chinese-Filipino. I am currently a Masters student in LMU taking up a psychology program.
I speak English and Tagalog fluently with a neutral accent, although I can adapt an American accent if requested. I know a bit of German as well. In terms of teaching English, I've always believed that language learning should be FUN and RELEVANT. Grammar is important but should not be the main focus of language learning. I have tutored people (i.e. Koreans, Chinese, Filipinos, Hungarians) in both verbal and written English in a very informal setting. In any case, with me, learning will definitely be fun.
In terms of Psychology, I have a Bachelor's degree in it and have graduated with Latin Honors and acknowledgement of my undergraduate thesis. I am mainly interested and more knowledgeable in social, developmental and clinical/abnormal psychology however I do have significant experience in psychometrics, statistics and experimental designs.
I am open to setting up a tutoring session both via Skype and face to face.
